01:01 - Hong Kong, Day one and two - Just to add

My dear did a wonderful job relating our Day one and two in our Hong Kong 5D4N adventure in her My Fairy Tale. frankly, for this trip, we flew quite unprepared.. we just knew there was Disneyland, Shenzhen and lotsa shopping and eating. Ya. I know, pigs. but hey! we're on a vacation. and so we did just about that, plus enjoying every minute together.

FYI, we're pretty good at that. anyway, just to add a few things on our Day one and two...

we were welcomed by this giant board that had this line-"unlimited shopping experience.." we, the avid shoppers got excited after that...

And so we explored- this was along Jardine's Bazzar at Causeway Bay. we just han-thum our way.

As the island is extremely well connected via trains, they were our main transportation mode for the entire stay. they were pretty cost effective as well. we basically planned our destinations by the train stations.

Give the Hong Kongers an escalator and they'll keep to the right! just an observation..

The streets of i'm not sure where... but Hongkong really is the land of billboards.

The port view from our hotel room at Mexan Harbour Hotel. Did we mention that the hotel features Asia's longest swimming pool at 200m in a single stretch? and listen to this- the hotel also features Asia's highest entry prices for a swimming pool- S$20! we didn't even know we had to pay for them at first until the hotel staff told us- now we know why there was nobody in that lovely large pool...

an old estate.

reminds me of work. yucks.

Do look out for our Hong Kong, Day Three, Four and Five- coming soon!

11:24 - Rumblings (after the exams)

Oh yes. the semester two exams have finally came to a close. we were unprepared and unwilling for the exams. the school seem to have tied a noose around students and up their standards- not much hints at all! so much so for Monash- the all almightly super branded university. so when you tell people Monash- they go like ohhhh, that Monasshh. nearly every executive (and above) knows them. anyway, i can't wait to finish off my education and (hopefully) fly off to aussie with my baby to graduate- the Monash way. and snap up the Monash T-shirts like they are highly branded T-shirts. ho.

So now my life seems back on track after the confinement from social activities (C.F.S.A) due to the exams. during the course of the two days (after last paper on Friday), we satisfied most of our basic, safety, social, self esteem and self actualization needs (according in Maslow's theory-which did not come out in the exams at all...) such as food, sleep, buying birthday present, movies, shopping and love. it was a frenzy of activities the two days- conqeuring the shopping districts of Singapore's Orchard Road and Suntec-Marina SC!

Mad excessive shopping which led to the buying of my very lovely and savvy birthday present from baby (which I will post at a late date), bags, Hello Kitty (for my #01 boss), leather accessories, (many) apparels and even a CK boxers! we are so very evident of being the compulsive shopping disorder after exams (C.S.D.A.E)..

so we caught Stardust.. and enjoyed the movie. it was a good show- stretches the imagaination, giving the fairy tale feel and not too exaggerated at all- well rumbled up. and of cos like LC mentioned- don't catch it with guys- it soils the show.

we will still be venturing into the deep unknowns of shopping centres in search of two more birthday presents later.. one for my #02 boss- who came back from a 1 month backpack to Europe! and another for baby's big sista. just rumbling off track awhile- when my #02 boss was away for that 1 month- i requested for my very own- ahem- part timer! well, for someone who used to be on the opposite side of the fence can feel rather excited you know what i mean.. anyway, this 17 year old part timer is such a Qoo.. he doesn't talk much and games after lunch thinking that I don't know. with all the excessive clicking of the mouse and soft sounds coming off the speakers- yes- he did not mute the game.. a veteran gamer like myself can tell between gaming and data entry.. data entry should have more taptaptap of the keyboard than the clickclickclick. and so i pointed out (nicely and gently) and so very speechless he was. flushed.

ok. i think i better stop rumbling now- better start posting the Hong Kong images. so very lagged and late. finish the unfinished i shall!

So belated Happy Birthday myself and no more exams blues (for now..)! Tally- ho then!

14:00 - My Bro's Wedding

Yesterday was my one of my bro's biggest day of his life- his wedding!

I have been with Kenny for so long, from schoolgirl skirt chasing days to hougang mall hangouts to pasir ris park bbqs, now that seeing your childhood friend of over 10 years tying the knot feels so incredible and precious. however, that does remind you that time is really running fast away.

Anyway, it was my first experience being one of the brothers. having two sisters experience under my baby's (wylyn- who else..) belt, she told me that it is not an easy feat, where you can go like- cheah, chicken feet or na na bo bo. truth be said- she is right. I melted into bed once I got home after the day's programmes- getting up at 4, moving out to gatecrash at 5.20, racing around the island for tea ceremonies and assisting in the dinner arrangements and worst- getting aunties and uncles to stop eating/drinking/gossiping and prepare for the photo taking with the bride and groom (gasp!).

The morning gate crashing was thankfully not as difficult as the one's I have heard from other friends. Lucky for him, he just had to dance chicken little and Cai Yi Ling, make an "I love you" out of bread, drink milk from baby's bottle and involve us by drawing our lips with thick red lipsticks and push ups. And there is of cos the mandatory singing and creativity element. ma-jiam like starsearch like that.

When Kenny won the sisters after all the test of his love and sincerity, the heart stopping moment came- when he swings open her bedroom door and lifts the bride's veil for a kiss. Way to go bro!

The brothers basically tagged along everywhere and supported Kenny like bodyguards, maids and managers. we also provided him with good quality tissues for him to constantly wipe his perspirations off- he is (by nature) a walking and living ice-cream.

In the night- the dinner event, they did the walk in and solemnisation ceremony in the witness of all the guest. I could see my big bro blush and quivering with happiness as he recites his vows to the bride. what a romantic and timeless moment! There was also a delightful surprise when the screen played a 5 mins flash cartoon of how they meet- through a neutral friend, their first phone conversation that led to many others and their progression of love. that is prepared by the bride! and we didn’t know Kenny had so many tricks up his sleeves- that guy.

and so the dinner went without hiccups, and we yum senged till hoarse to officially declared him a family man.

To my bro Kenny and Xiu Feng- I wish you both a loving and blessed life together as one. Wish you both “ai ai ai bu wan”- aaron kwok style.

23:44 - Office work and a sneek peek at my extra tragic super story

It has never came across to me that OFFICE WORK could be ever so draining. the daily piling and backlog of work creates a dense vegetation of paper, plastic files and archfiles. and just across my table, I could see the IT executive's barren table. sometimes i wonder "am i in the right field?". oh how depressing. One after another. They opened another one today, after relaunching one last week. rumor has it that he throws darts to pick a location.

ok. Enuff said of work. I'l be having that tomorrow till friday. anyway, just today, baby and myself went to West side to find a friend and had to take the bus that plys outside Seletar camp back home. Upon circling its majestic gates, it chanced upon me that my romantic cum extra tragic plot has yet to be completed. but at this time i will not disclose the plot as yet.

ok. I'll just give you a sneek peek.

"The stories revolves around a boy and girl, through the twist of fate never meet with each other- even after numerous planned attempts to do so.. The story takes a turn when one day the girl was knocked down by a car as she tried to call out for him. Unknown to him, he is still waiting faithfully for the girl's reply- but there is none. day by day, the boy discovers her secrets.. and uncovers the greatest mistake of his life."

Yes it is typical and predictable- but its the dialog and filmatics that will be the differentiation. but you have to admit, it does have some punch right? :)

ok. shall go sleep now. leave you excited for now.
